Kazakhstan Bans School Graduation Parties In Restaurants

Kazakhstan has banned school graduation parties in restaurants, cafes, and banquet halls, Orda.kz reports.
Education Minister Zhuldyz Suleimenova said at a government meeting that graduation certificate ceremonies will be held on June 17–18.
Graduation events must be held exclusively at educational organizations,she said.
The minister added that illegal fundraising for graduation parties is also prohibited. Akimats and police will monitor compliance with the ban.
In 2025, 3.9 million schoolchildren studied in Kazakhstan. Of them, 343,000 are graduating from ninth grade and 215,000 from 11th grade. Another 13,175 graduates, or 6%, are applying for the Altyn Belgi award.
