The President of Kazakhstan believes that the leaders of Russia and the U.S. have demonstrated a commitment to achieving long-term peace through concrete agreements — an essential step for Eurasian security, Orda.kz reports, citing Aqorda.
Previously, Toqayev urged all involved powers to engage in negotiations on Ukraine to develop a “peace formula.”
At the BRICS summit, he also supported the peace plan that China and Brazil had proposed.
On March 18, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin held a two-hour phone call, discussing terms for a temporary ceasefire aimed at halting the war in Ukraine.
