Housing Sales in Kazakhstan Rise 28% in One Month

In June 2026, Kazakhstan recorded 39,053 housing purchase and sale transactions, up 28.4% from May, when 30,420 transactions were completed, Orda.kz reports, citing the Bureau of National Statistics.
The largest number of transactions was recorded in Almaty — 6,841, or 17.5% of the total. Astana followed with 6,436 transactions, or 16.5%, while Karaganda Region recorded 3,772, or 9.7%. Ulytau Region had the fewest transactions, with 360.
Housing sales increased in every region of the country. The strongest growth was recorded in Mangistau Region, where transactions rose by 67.4%, followed by Karaganda Region at 43.4% and Atyrau Region at 40.9%.
Apartments accounted for most of the market. In June, 29,432 apartment transactions were completed, making up 75.4% of the total. Compared with May, apartment sales increased by 25.9%. One-bedroom apartments were the most popular, with 11,348 transactions.
Sales of detached houses also increased. In June, 9,621 transactions were registered, up 36.7% from the previous month. East Kazakhstan Region was the only region to record a decline in private house sales, down 1.4%.
