Forest Fire Breaks Out Near Bukhtarma Reservoir in Eastern Kazakhstan

A forest fire broke out in the Ulansky district, in the Ayuda area near the Bukhtarma reservoir, on the territory of the Primorsk forestry, Orda.kz reports.
Grass, shrubs and trees caught fire in the forest zone.
Emergency Ministry aviation was involved in the response, and a Kazaviaspas aircraft was sent to the scene. Forestry workers and emergency officials are also continuing to work there.
The firefighting effort was complicated by mountainous terrain and gusty winds. The spread of the fire has now been stopped, and there are no open fire pockets.
According to the Emergency Ministry, 21 tons of water were dropped from the air.
