Dozens of Trucks Burn Near Kazakhstan-China Border Crossing

Videos published online since the night of May 6 appear to show a major fire in the border area near the Khorgos International Center for Boundary Cooperation, including the Nur Zholy checkpoint, Orda.kz reports.
The footage shows dozens of heavy trucks on fire.
Social media users say goods being transported in the trailers may also have burned along with the vehicles. Chinese authorities have not yet officially disclosed the scale of the damage or what the trucks were carrying.
The Zhetysu region emergency department said the fire occurred on May 4.
At the same time, no calls were received on the 101 and 112 emergency lines, since this territory belongs to the People’s Republic of China.the department said.
There has been no official information so far on casualties or the cause of the fire.
