CIS Head Meeting: Putin Expressed Condolences Over Plane Crash
The informal meeting of the presidents of the CIS countries began with an expression of condolences to the families of those who died in the plane crash near Aqtau.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that in agreement with the President of Kazakhstan, an aircraft of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations with medical personnel and necessary equipment was flying to Aqtau.
Ilham Aliyev was to participate but canceled the visit and returned to Baku.
