The mother of an eight-year-old boy from Balkhash announced via the “NeMolchi” page that the criminal case accusing her son of allegedly assaulting the daughter of a Kazakhmys employee has been closed, Orda.kz reports.
According to her, a medical examination confirmed that the girl was unharmed, and the case was dropped on that basis. Orda.kz has requested official confirmation from the Qaraganda regional police, but no response had been received by the time of publication.
The case had emerged after Madina Dosymbekova accused a Kazakhmys employee of assaulting and torturing her son, alleging that the man used his connections in the police, hospitals, and other state bodies to obstruct the investigation. The accused man, in turn, claimed that Dosymbekova’s son had abused his daughter — prompting police to open the now-closed case.
Meanwhile, the Kazakhmys employee himself remains under investigation. A court earlier ordered his pretrial detention for two months, and police confirmed that a separate case against him is ongoing.
