BRICS Summit: Monument to Abay to Be Unveiled in Kazan

A monument to the Kazakh poet, philosopher, and educator Abay Kunanbayev will be unveiled as part of the BRICS summit in Kazan, Orda.kz reports.
BUSINESS Online reports on the monument's unveiling, citing the Ministry of Culture of Tatarstan. The monument is installed on Nazarbayev Street but is currently covered.
The monument will appear in the park next to the bronze monument 'Taikazan,' which was installed in 2018. This is an exact copy of the cauldron that stands in the Ahmed Yasawi Mosque in Turkestan,
BUSINESS Online clarifies.
On October 23-24, Kazan will host the BRICS summit, to which President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev has been invited. The President will speak at the event in the "outreach" format.
