Ayagoz: Electricity Restored

Residents of the city and nearby villages had no electricity for two days, Orda.kz reports.

On December 18, a transformer at the central substation in Ayagoz caught fire, leaving the city and dozens of nearby villages without power. People also spoke of heating interruptions.

 Today, the Akimat reported that electricity has been restored.

A total of about 40 specialists, as well as the necessary equipment, were involved in the restoration work,
 The Abay region Akimat commented.

According to local authorities, more than 9,000 consumers had no power.
