Astana Records 1,500 Traffic Violations A Day, Akimat Says

The new traffic management center in Astana records about 1,500 traffic violations every day, deputy akim Yersin Otebayev said at a joint meeting of the chambers of parliament, Orda.kz reports.
According to him, 12 monitoring complexes are operating across the city.
Today, 12 complexes monitor the city and detect about 1,500 violations every day. Since the center opened, an evacuation system has also been operating. It removes obstacles from the roadway and helps ensure safe passage,Otebayev said.
He added that the government wants to automate the recording of violations through amendments to digitalization legislation.
