An inspection is under way in Kazakhstan after drone fragments were found in West Kazakhstan Region, Deputy Defense Minister Askar Mustabekov said on the sidelines of the Mazhilis, Orda.kz reports.
According to him, the UAV wreckage was found in a river. Experts now have to determine which state it belongs to. A special commission has been set up for that purpose with the participation of Armed Forces specialists.
As of today, not only air defense forces but also electronic warfare units are involved in countering unmanned aerial vehicles in Kazakhstan. Therefore, all our territory is sufficiently covered both by air defense forces and by electronic countermeasures. At the legislative level, all the necessary acts have already been adopted. he said on the sidelines of the Mazhilis.
Mustabekov stressed that until the inspection is completed, the ministry will not make final conclusions about the origin of the drones or the circumstances of their fall.
