Kazakhstan Will Not Hold A Military Parade On Victory Day This Year

Kazakhstan will not hold a military parade this year, the Defense Ministry said, Orda.kz reports.
Instead, military-patriotic and commemorative events will be held across the country. They will include courage lessons, ceremonies honouring the best servicemen and veterans, as well as environmental campaigns. Similar wording about replacing parades with military-patriotic events has appeared in previous Defense Ministry announcements.
The parade is not planned this year.the ministry’s press service said.
Last year, a military parade marking the 80th anniversary of Victory was held on May 7 on Independence Square near the Qazaq Eli monument in Astana. The government allocated 2.5 billion tenge for its organisation.
