According to the Mangystau Emergency Department, the flooding was caused by heavy rainfall (5–10 mm) combined with a rise in groundwater levels. Water accumulated in multiple streets and courtyards across Aqtau and Munaily district.
In response, 15 vehicles, 20 motor pumps, and over 50 personnel were deployed to manage the flooding.
No one was harmed and there are no livestock losses. Residential areas and industrial facilities are not at risk. The situation is under control,
the department stated.

The Aqtau city administration reported that 350 cubic meters of rainwater were pumped out. Roads and sidewalks were heavily flooded, and in areas without asphalt, the rain washed away paths entirely.

- Between 32B and 31B districts
- 16th district, near “Inara” residential complex

- 31st district, “Magash” market
- 31st district, “Khazar Bazaar”
