Almaty Metro Bans Electric Scooters, Bikes And Skateboards

The Almaty metro has introduced strict restrictions on carrying personal vehicles, Orda.kz reports.
Passengers are now banned from bringing electric scooters, electric bicycles, regular bicycles, except children’s bikes, skateboards, electric monowheels and similar vehicles into metro cars.
The restrictions do not apply to folding non-electric bicycles and other folding non-electric vehicles if they are packed in a case. Baby strollers and wheelchairs are also allowed.
The metro said the new rules were introduced to ensure the safety of passengers and employees, as well as to improve transport and fire safety.
