The employees of the OzenMunayGas company's drilling department, who went on strike in mid-November, ended it, Orda reports.
On December 4, KazMunayGas issued a statement on the current situation, per the company's press service.
On December 3, Deputy Chair of the Board of JSC NC KazMunayGas Bekzat Abayildanov arrived in Zhanaozen.
He met with JSC OzenMunayGas's Drilling Operations Department employees and urged them to return to work.
The decision to end the three-week strike followed negotiations with the trade union and representatives of the employer.
Reportedly, oil workers' demands will be considered at a meeting of the conciliation commission. Work operations at the enterprise have been restored, KMG assured.
On November 13, 2024, Ozenmunaygaz workers held a protest in Zhanaozen. People demanded higher wages and the creation of new jobs for retired employees' children.
