From August 1 through September 30, children from vulnerable families will receive financial assistance to buy school uniforms, shoes and supplies, Orda.kz reports, citing the Education Ministry.
Around 450,000 children are expected to receive support ahead of the new school year. Local budgets have allocated approximately 23 billion tenge for the program.
The minimum payment is 50,851 tenge per child, although regions may provide more depending on their budgets.
The assistance is available to orphans, children without parental care, students from low-income families, families receiving targeted social assistance and children facing difficult circumstances.
Parents or legal guardians must submit an application and the required documents to their child’s school.
