Chinese company China Shandong Huada Group plans to invest $500 million in transport and logistics infrastructure in Uzbekistan’s Andijan region, Orda.kz reports, citing Gazeta.uz.
Agreements have been reached to establish a rail and road logistics park in the Kurghontepa and Khodjaabad districts.
The hub is expected to serve a new transport corridor now taking shape.
The route will link a planned railway beginning in Lhasa (Tibet, China) with the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway, currently under construction through Xinjiang, and continue along new highways from Andijan to Tashkent and Samarqand.
