U.S. Military Rep Observes “Zapad-2025” Drills in Belarus — Belarusian MoD

The U.S. defense attaché attended the joint Russian-Belarusian military exercises Zapad-2025 in Belarus and thanked Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin for the invitation, the Belarusian Defense Ministry reported, Orda.kz reports, citing the Belarusian MoD.
A video released by the ministry showed the reception of foreign guests at the training ground.
American guests were given the best seats and shown everything they were interested in. Representatives of 23 countries are taking part, including NATO members Türkiye, Hungary, and the United States,the ministry’s press service stated.
The drills, held from September 12 to 16, include training scenarios on nuclear weapons planning and testing of the “Oreshnik” medium-range ballistic missile. Military contingents from CSTO, SCO, and partner states were also invited.
Last week, Poland announced it would deploy about 40,000 troops to its border with Russia and Belarus and close crossing points in response to what it called “aggressive exercises.”
