Turkestan Region Leads Kazakhstan In Twin Births

Kazakhstan registered 1,926 twins and 54 triplets from January to April 2026, Orda.kz reports, citing the Bureau of National Statistics.
No quadruplets were born in the country during this period.
Turkestan Region recorded the highest number of twins, with 263 cases. Almaty followed with 245, while Almaty Region ranked third with 175.
For triplets, Turkestan Region, Atyrau Region, and Shymkent shared first place, with three cases each.
In total, 99,400 children were born in Kazakhstan from January to April 2026. The highest birth rates were recorded in Turkestan Region, with 19.75 births per 1000 people, followed by Shymkent with 19.39 and Mangistau Region with 19.28.
