President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that Republicans are working on legislation that will impose sanctions on countries doing business with Russia, Orda.kz reports.
'They’re passing legislation, the Republicans are, putting in legislation that - very tough, sanctioning et cetera, et cetera - on any country doing business with Russia. They may add Iran to that, as you know, I suggested it,' he said, adding, 'So any country that does business with Russia will be very severely sanctioned.'
It is unclear what is meant by "doing business."
Meanwhile, oil prices declined again, with Brent slipping nearly 1% to $63.80. On Friday, prices had briefly risen to $64.40 amid concerns over Russian supplies following a Ukrainian drone strike on export facilities in Novorossiysk.
Russia resumed oil exports through the port of Novorossiysk today, two days after the attack.
