Tourist Injured Near Waterfall In Almaty Region Mountains

A tourist was injured while hiking in the mountains of the Almaty region, Orda.kz reports, citing the Emergency Situations Ministry.
The incident happened in the Karasai district near the Girl’s Tears waterfall, at an altitude of about 3,100 meters. A woman born in 1988 was descending a mountain route when she stumbled, fell and injured her tailbone.
Rescuers from the Almaty region emergency department reached the woman, placed her on a special stretcher and carried her to the Almarasan parking area. She was then handed over to an ambulance crew.
Emergency workers also escorted two other women who were on the route. They did not need medical assistance.
