President Xi Jinping, in turn, thanked Toqayev and noted that under his leadership, Kazakhstan has embarked on a path of national renewal and continues to achieve progress in development.
“As good neighbors and strategic partners, we sincerely admire your achievements and rejoice with you,” he said.
Xi added that the relationship between China and Kazakhstan has stood the test of a complex global environment and continues to grow steadily.
The successful implementation of a number of socially significant projects is bringing tangible benefits to the peoples of both countries. I am ready to work with you to steadily strengthen the friendship between China and Kazakhstan and to jointly advance our multifaceted cooperation so that Chinese-Kazakh relations can contribute even more to the development of the region and the world as a whole, Xi Jinping said.
Separately, President Toqayev stated that Kazakhstan sees China's CNNC as a reliable partner for the construction of a nuclear power plant.
I would like to emphasize: we consider the Chinese company CNNC a reliable strategic partner for the nuclear power plant construction project. CNNC is internationally recognized for its high level of expertise and will undoubtedly occupy a strong position in our market. In addition, Kazakhstan is a reliable supplier of natural uranium and nuclear fuel to China,
the Head of State emphasized.
