On March 29, the Presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are expected to hold an informal meeting in Almaty and attend an exhibition on artificial intelligence, Orda.kz reports.
According to the Aqorda press service, the two leaders will also discuss the nations' strategic partnership and alliance.
Recently, President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev signed a law ratifying the agreement to establish a joint industrial cooperation center with Uzbekistan. The logistics hub is intended to boost bilateral trade to ten billion tenge by 2030.
The visit comes shortly after Saida Mirziyoyeva, daughter of the Uzbek president, traveled to Almaty, where she participated in several cultural events.
This marks Mirziyoyeva’s second visit to Kazakhstan in the past year.
