Three suspects have been placed on the wanted list in connection with the theft of pension funds through fictitious dental clinics, Orda.kz reports.
Aslan Duisenov (born in 1992), Gabbas Imanbayev (born in 1998), and Yesimkhan Eleshev (born in 1987) are accused of siphoning over 46 billion tenge from the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund (ENPF).
Seven clinics registered in the cities of Aktau and Atyrau did not provide medical services. Funds from the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund were cashed out and distributed among the scheme's participants,
the Financial Monitoring Agency stated.
One of the wanted men, Duisenov, is a former police officer. In 2016, he was sentenced to five years in prison for incitement to suicide and abuse of office before being dismissed from the service.
Authorities are offering a reward for information leading to the capture of the fugitives.
