Talgar City Akim Named

The regional election commission summed up the election results for the Talgar city Akim, Orda reports.
According to the election commission, out of 42,774 registered voters, 12,875 people voted.
Three candidates were running:
- Arystanbek Abilkhairuly, 41 years old, native of Talgar, nominee of the Amanat party, head of Talgar Turgyn Uy LLP.
- Zhanibek Kadenov, 33 years old, also from Talgar, a nominee of the People's Party of Kazakhstan, chief specialist of the financial and economic department of the Akim of Talgar district apparatus.
- Alibek Ramazanov, 42 years old, self-nominated candidate representing Talgar district, deputy akim of Besagash rural district.
The voting results were as follows:
- 9,071 voters voted for Arystanbek Abilkhairuly.
- Zhanibek Kadenov - 1,875 voters.
- Alibek Ramazanov - 1,140 people.
- 182 voters voted against all of them.
Arystanbek Abilkhairuly is the new Talgar Akim.
Talgar has been in the spotlight after Sherzat Polat's death. On December 9, reports surfaced that Nurganat Gaipbayev, Sherzat's uncle, had died.
According to the official version, he committed suicide.
Sherzat's father was arrested for disorderly conduct after Gaipbayev's funeral.
