As of August 13, 2025, Starlink satellite Internet is now officially available to the public in Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Digital Development announced, Orda.kz reports.
An agreement signed on June 12 between the ministry and Starlink requires the company to comply with Kazakhstan’s laws when providing services.
“The technology ensures a stable connection even in the most remote areas, giving residents access to modern digital services,” the ministry noted.
Minister Zhaslan Madiyev emphasized that many parts of the country — including pastures, mountain villages, and isolated enterprises — still lacked reliable communication.
The company has agreed to meet all legislative requirements on information security and communications. This year they will complete the necessary measures so citizens can officially connect to satellite Internet,he said.
Until now, Starlink operated only in pilot mode, serving rural schools. The service, owned by U.S. entrepreneur Elon Musk, is now open to all users. Rates and connection details are available on SpaceX’s website, starlink.com.
