Special Task Force Formed After Teen Abuse Case in Talas District

Two teenagers in Talas District were recently found being held against their will and forced to herd livestock. Following the incident, regional governor Yerbol Karashukeyev ordered the creation of a special task force, Orda.kz reports.
According to the Jambyl Region administration, the group will investigate the circumstances of the case and take measures to ensure the children’s safety and protect their rights.
Specific steps are now being taken in cooperation with the relevant authorities to guarantee the teenagers’ safety. To prevent such cases in the future, a comprehensive inspection of educational institutions in the region is planned, the administration’s press service stated.
Interior Minister Yerzhan Sadenov has personally taken control of the criminal investigation into the minors' systematic abuse.
The suspect has been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
