Shymkent Deputy Akim Comments on Detention of Architecture Department Head

Shymkent Deputy Akim Ruslan Berdenov has denied any personal connection to Arman Abdeshov, head of the city’s architecture and urban development department, who was recently detained on suspicion of embezzlement, Orda.kz reports.
In a social media post, Berdenov stated that claims Abdeshov was “his man” were unfounded, noting the appointment occurred before he joined the Akimat.
Abdeshov has led the department since February 2025.
