Sherzat Polat's Father Left under Arrest
Karzhaubay Nurymov, Sherzat Polat's father, will serve administrative arrest for 15 days, Orda.kz reports.
According to Nurymov's lawyers, the Almaty Region Administrative Cases Panel upheld the arrest order.
The lawyer filed a complaint against the Yenbekshikazakh District Court's decision, but it was dismissed.
Karzhaubay Nurymov was given 15 days of arrest for disorderly conduct; he was detained at Nurganat Gaepbayev's funeral.
Gaepbayev is Sherzat Polat's uncle. According to the official version, he committed suicide.
On December 12, reports emerged that a pre-trial investigation had been launched against Nurymov under Article 202 of the Criminal Code (“Intentional Destruction or Damage to Someone Else’s Property”).
