Research into Single Time Zone Impact to Begin in 2025
The Minister of Science and Higher Education explained how they would conduct a study on time zone changes in Kazakhstan, Orda.kz reports.
On the sidelines of the Majilis, Sayasat Nurbek explained why the survey among Kazakhstanis about changing the time was needed.
The survey is just one component of the study, within which we planned to survey 200 thousand people. We have achieved this goal. Next, we will analyze the impact of the time change on the health of Kazakhstanis, combining the results within the framework of the overall study, said the minister.
As the Minister specified, this is only the initial stage of the work. According to him, a grant competition is planned to be held by the end of the year, during which the Scientific and Technical Commission will determine the amount of funds to be allocated.
Sayasat Nurbek previously stated that the Ministry of Health requested 160 million tenge for these purposes.
However, the head of the Ministry of Science believes the amount may be half as much.
Minister Nurbek also promised that all stages of the research, starting next year, will be public.
