Prosecutor General’s Office Comments on Detention of Former and Current Prosecutors

The Prosecutor General's Office commented on the information about the detention of employees of the prosecutor's office, reports Orda.kz.
We recently wrote that the National Security Committee detained Olzhas Aliyev, who is allegedly involved in the sale of marijuana.
At the time of his arrest, the suspect in the sale of narcotics in the Qyzylorda region was no longer an active law enforcement officer,
the supervisory authority explained.
At the same time, Ulytau regional prosecutor Samat Kaniyev was detained on suspicion of receiving a bribe.
The Prosecutor General's Office also confirmed this information:
Based on the results of operational activities carried out by the National Security Committee of the Qyzylorda Region together with the State Security Service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a pre-trial investigation was registered under Article 190 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Fraud – editor’s note).
Other details are not being disclosed in the interests of the investigation.
