Possible Illegal Oil Production Reported at Mangistau Field

Environmental officials are reviewing claims that oil may be extracted illegally at the Dolinnoye field in Mangistau Region’s Munaily District, Orda.kz reports.
A video posted on social media alleged that oil was being produced illegally at the site and that associated gas was being released into the atmosphere.
The Mangistau Region Ecology Department responded to the video and said the field is operated by Emir-Oil LLP.
The department is verifying the claims and considering whether to conduct an unscheduled inspection. Officials said they could provide an environmental and legal assessment only after completing the necessary checks.
The department said it would publish the findings later.
