The Polish Embassy in Belarus announced that two land checkpoints reopened on September 25 under an order from Poland’s interior minister, Orda.kz reports.
Passenger traffic has resumed at Terespol–Brest, while freight transport is once again moving through Koroszczyn (Kukuryki)–Kozlovichi. Both crossings had been closed since September 12 due to joint Russian-Belarusian military drills.
Despite the reopening, the embassy stressed that its security guidance has not changed:
In light of the deteriorating situation, the ongoing war in the region, and repeated arbitrary detentions of Polish citizens, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends avoiding all travel to Belarus. If security conditions worsen abruptly, if borders are closed, or other unforeseen circumstances arise, evacuation could become severely complicated or even impossible. The Ministry calls on Polish citizens still in Belarus to leave immediately using available commercial or private means.
