The loading point of the Druzhba oil pipeline, through which Kazakhstan's oil is exported to Germany, was damaged as a result of a drone attack, Orda.kz reports, citing ASTRA.

On December 11, the Governor of the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bogomaz, reported that a “production facility” caught fire as a result of a drone attack.

He did not specify the facility, claiming the fire had been extinguished.

Bogomaz says ten Ukrainian drones were shot down over the Bryansk region.

Meanwhile, ASTRA writes that the Ukrainian drones targeted the Druzhba oil pipeline loading point in Sven near Bryansk. Locals claim an oil refinery was on fire in the region. Ukrainian sources said that a Transneft facility was damaged in the strike.

Kazakhstan uses the Transneft main pipeline system, including Druzhba, to supply oil to Germany.

From January to November, more than 1.3 million tons of oil were shipped from Kazakhstan to the Adamova Zastava point for subsequent shipment to the refinery in Schwedt, Germany; in December, the Ministry of Energy plans to supply another 130 thousand tons.

According to KazTransOil, the attack targeted an oil depot containing fuel, but the pipeline was not damaged.

The strikes are mainly aimed at facilities with fuel and lubricants; they are not aimed at oil pipelines, since the volumes go to Europe (to Germany), says the KTO commentary.

This is the second incident with the Druzhba oil pipeline since the beginning of the month.

On December 1, a leak occurred on the Polish section of the pipeline, and supplies to Germany continued via the second branch.
