At a Central Communications Service briefing, the Pavlodar Region Akim, Asain Bayhanov, spoke about the raider takeover organized by a local gang, Orda.kz reports.
The Akim says a production base in Pavlodar was subject to the raider takeover. The resulting damage exceeded 1 billion tenge.
Baykhanov noted that the facility has no particular infrastructural value.
This is a typical production base, of which there are about a thousand in our city. It is located, if I am not mistaken, on Kamzina Street. This is one of those bases where industrial facilities and warehouses are located, the regional head said.
The Akim also emphasized that some case details are under investigation and cannot be publicized.
Earlier, in Pavlodar, a crime boss involved in the raider takeover was detained.
The criminal group deprived entrepreneurs of access to their enterprises, re-registered the companies to fictitious persons, and sold the property.
The main suspect was taken into custody for two months, and the Prosecutor's Office opened additional investigations into the group's activities.
