Details Emerge on Raider Takeover in Pavlodar

The Pavlodar Region Prosecutor's Office has opened a criminal case on the raider takeover of a major regional enterprise, Orda.kz reports.
A group led by a criminal authority had been threatening entrepreneurs and taking away their property.
Business owners were denied access to their enterprises, the companies were re-registered to fictitious persons, and their property was sold. The damage to the owners amounted to more than one billion tenge.
The court seized the defendants' property. The main suspect is in custody.
In addition, five pre-trial investigations were resumed into other facts of criminal activity by members of the group headed by the crime boss,
added the supervisory authority.
Prosecutors are not disclosing other details in the interests of the investigation.
The arrest became known just the other day.
