Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Energy said the recent Ukrainian drone attack on the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) office in Novorossiysk has not disrupted the export of Kazakhstan's oil, Orda.kz reports.
According to the ministry, transportation and shipment through the CPC marine terminal continue as per usual.
Oil shipments from shippers on the Kazakhstan section of the pipeline are being received without interruption. The agency is in contact with the consortium’s shareholders to obtain up-to-date information. The situation is being constantly monitored, the statement read.
On September 24, a large drone strike hit the CPC office in Novorossiysk. Six people were injured, including two company employees, and two others were killed, according to local authorities.
The CPC pipeline, in which KazMunayGas holds a 19% stake, remains the main route for exporting Kazakhstan’s oil to the West.
