According to KTK, on September 24, a large-scale drone attack hit the company’s central office, damaging the building along with nearby residential properties and a hotel.
Two company employees sustained injuries of varying severity and were transported to a medical facility. Operations at the administrative office have been temporarily suspended, and staff evacuated. Serious injuries occurred in the building housing the CPC office, though not among company employees, the statement said.
Later, Krasnodar Krai’s task force reported that casualties had risen to six, including two dead. A fire caused by falling UAV debris continued to burn, while 20 cars were damaged—three of them destroyed.
The CPC manages exports of Kazakh oil, with its pipeline transporting roughly 80% of Kazakhstan’s output to the West. Its members include KazMunayGas, Russia, and the U.S. corporation Chevron.
The attack follows Ukrainian drone strikes on a Gazprom plant in Bashkortostan, where Russian customs had earlier intercepted a Gazelle van carrying drones from Kazakhstan.
