Kazakhstan has not recorded any negative impact from the new Tax Code on business. On the contrary, key small and medium-sized business indicators continue to grow, Orda.kz reports.
According to First Deputy Minister of National Economy Azamat Amrin, the number of active businesses increased by 19,600 in the first quarter of 2026. Growth was recorded among both small and medium-sized companies.
In terms of revenues, we see that compared with the same period last year — quarter to quarter — there is growth of 26%. That is, we are collecting nearly a quarter more than in the same period last year. If you look at receipts, their number has increased, and the amount on them has also gone up. Amrin said at a government briefing.
There was also an increase in cash register activity. According to Deputy Finance Minister Yerzhan Birzhanov, 885 million receipts were issued in the first quarter, compared with 728 million a year earlier — an increase of 156 million. In monetary terms, the growth amounted to about 1.368 trillion tenge.
