Nazarbayev’s Grandson, Freedom Founder And Ordabasy’s Future Owner Among Kazakhstan’s Youngest Richest Businessmen

Forbes Kazakhstan has published its ranking of the country’s youngest wealthy businessmen. The list includes eight entrepreneurs under 44, among them Nurali Aliyev, the grandson of Kazakhstan’s first president, Freedom Holding Corp. founder Timur Turlov, and Shahmurat Mutalip, the future owner of FC Ordabasy, Orda.kz reports.
Timur Turlov, 38, is the richest young participant in the ranking. He placed sixth overall. The youngest participant in the ranking is 35-year-old Shahmurat Mutalip, a beneficiary of Integra Construction KZ. He ranked 22nd, with an estimated fortune of $482 million. His company has built facilities at the port of Kuryk, residential complexes, roads, and airport infrastructure. In April, it became known that a structure linked to Mutalip would build a stadium in Kokshetau. The businessman himself is expected to take over management of FC Ordabasy.

The former owner of Alatau City Bank is now developing an agricultural business and taking part in a deal to sell a stake in Transtelecom to Timur Turlov. His wife, Aizhan Yesim, the daughter of former Almaty akim Akhmetzhan Yessimov, was also included in the list, with an estimated fortune of $207 million.
Agricultural entrepreneur Almaz Alsenov, 44, ranked 48th with an estimated fortune of $204 million. His main asset is Swiss Harvest Group, which is involved in international agricultural trade and logistics. He is also developing agricultural projects in Kazakhstan.
Aigazy Kusainov, 42, ranked 64th with a fortune estimated at $132 million. He owns the International Educational Corporation, which includes KazGASA, KAU, colleges, and private schools. In addition to education, he is involved in copper mining, construction, and agribusiness through Verum Group.
Restaurateur Askar Baitasov, 41, was also included in the ranking. He placed 68th, with Forbes estimating his fortune at $112 million. He founded the ABR restaurant group, which includes more than 50 establishments, and is also developing ABR Tech’s IT business.
