Missing Military Helicopter: Second Body Recovered in Ongoing Search

The funeral of the first recovered pilot was held today in the Turkistan region, Orda.kz reports.
Search operations for the crew of the missing EC-145 helicopter have been ongoing at Lake Sorbulaq in the Jambyl region since July 25. On August 10, the Defense Ministry announced that another body had been located and brought to the surface.
“Identification is now underway with the participation of the relevant authorities,” the ministry said in a statement.
The body of the first crew member, pilot Nurzhigit Uisinbayev, was found the previous day at a depth of 14 meters. His funeral took place today in the city of Lenger, Turkistan region.
The ministry reminded that the search for the missing crew is being carried out around the clock, involving resources from not only the Defense Ministry, but also the Emergency Situations Ministry, the Interior Ministry, and other agencies.
