Kazakhstan has developed a new Concept of Healthcare Development until 2029. The authors expect that under this concept, the life expectancy of the population will increase to 77 years by 2029, Orda.kz reports.
As follows from the published data, the priority of the new concept remains reducing premature mortality among people aged 30 to 70 from cardiovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes and chronic respiratory diseases.
The new document, the statement noted, defines a long‑term course for creating a sustainable and effective healthcare system focused on the needs of citizens. The key focus is on the accessibility of medical care, the introduction of modern technologies and the improvement of service quality.
The concept includes nine strategic directions. Among them are the development of a new generation of primary healthcare, the introduction of digital solutions, the development of high‑tech and personalized medicine, the strengthening of human resources and support for the domestic pharmaceutical industry.
Leading experts, representatives of the scientific community, medical universities, and international organizations, including the World Health Organization, UNICEF and UNFPA, participated in the development, the message added.
The Ministry of Health concluded that the implementation of the document will increase the accessibility and quality of medical care, strengthen the stability of the system and improve the health of the country's population.
