KTZ Head Leaves After One Year in Office

Talgat Aldybergenov is no longer chair of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, the country’s national railway company. He held the post for only one year, Orda.kz reports.
The sole shareholder decided to terminate Talgat Aldybergenov’s powers as chair of the board of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy,Samruk-Kazyna said in a statement.
Aldybergenov was appointed head of KTZ on July 3, 2025, replacing Nurlan Sauranbayev. Before that, he had served as deputy chair of the national company’s board since June 2024.
He returned to KTZ in 2024. Earlier, from 2008 to 2019, Aldybergenov headed Kedentransservice JSC. He later managed transport and industrial companies, including AvtoGasAlmaty and Kazakhmys Maker.
It has not yet been announced who will replace him as head of KTZ.
