Kazakhstanis ranked second among foreign citizens buying real estate in Kyrgyzstan, Orda.kz reports, citing 24.kg.
According to Jogorku Kenesh deputy Dastan Bekeshev, Kazakhstanis bought 424 properties in Kyrgyzstan in 2025 and the first quarter of 2026. Only Russian citizens bought more, with 1,238 transactions.
In total, foreigners bought 2,408 properties in Kyrgyzstan during this period. The top five also included citizens of China, with 311 transactions, Turkey with 145, and Germany with 56.
Bekeshev also said the figures do not support the widespread claim that Chinese citizens are buying up property in Kyrgyzstan en masse. Their share of such transactions was about 0.44% of the market.
