Kazakhstan will launch an artificial rainfall project in the Turkestan region, Orda.kz reports, citing Akorda.

The project was discussed during Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s meeting with Abdullah Al-Mandus, president of the World Meteorological Organization and director general of the UAE National Center of Meteorology.

The initiative is being implemented jointly with the UAE. Its full-scale launch is scheduled for May 17.
