Kazakhstan’s Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition is strengthening price monitoring in the fuel market. Territorial departments will check oil suppliers, wholesalers, gas stations and LPG filling stations, Orda.kz reports.

The order was given by the agency’s head, Marat Omarov, at a meeting with the central office and territorial departments.

If departments find signs of violations of competition law, they must take antitrust response measures.

The agency has also prepared a plan to prevent violations in the fuel market.
