Kazakhstan Resumes Oil Exports Through CPC

The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) has resumed accepting oil from producers and loading it onto tankers at its marine terminal near Novorossiysk, Orda.kz reports.
The SEAMAJESTY and MILOS tankers are currently being loaded at two offshore moorings. Both vessels are taking on oil from Tengizchevroil, according to the Ministry of Energy.
The resumption of operations allows oil companies to send crude into the CPC pipeline system again and continue exports through the marine terminal. Further operations will depend on the security situation.
The Ministry of Energy said it remains in constant contact with CPC management, major oil producers and other parties involved. The ministry continues to monitor the situation and coordinate the transportation of Kazakh oil.
The CPC previously suspended oil loading at the terminal following drone attacks. The Ministry of Energy said the decision was made to protect vessels, crews and the Black Sea environment.
On July 21, Reuters, citing three industry sources, reported that the CPC had stopped accepting oil from Kazakhstan. Bloomberg reported that Kazakhstan could be forced to halt deliveries to the terminal because shipowners were reluctant to send tankers there.
