Azamat Yeskarayev has been removed from his position as Kazakhstan's Minister of Justice by a presidential decree signed by Qasym-Jomart Toqayev.
The dismissal follows a significant case, a dispute between the country's authorities and Moldovan businessmen Anatolie and Gabriel Stati, on which Yeskarayev frequently commented.
In late December, his ministry was unable to provide details about funds recovered for Kazakhstan in connection with the matter.
Meanwhile, Yerlan Sarsenbayev has been appointed Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Head of State signed the corresponding decree.
