Kazakhstan Delivers Humanitarian Aid To Iran

Kazakhstan has delivered humanitarian aid to Iran on President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s instruction, Orda.kz reports.
The aid was organized by KazAID together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Health. The handover ceremony took place at the Serakhs railway station, where the cargo was transferred to the Iranian Red Crescent Society.
The ceremony was attended by Kazakhstan’s ambassador to Iran, Ontalap Onalbayev, representatives of the Red Crescent Society and Gholamabbas Arbab Khales, head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s local office in Khorasan Razavi province.
According to Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry, the shipment consists of 30 wagons and will be sent to Tehran, where it will be handed over to relevant organizations for further distribution.
The cargo includes canned meat, sugar, flour, medical supplies and medicines.
A friend is known in difficult times. Kazakhstan has consistently supported the people of Iran at different stages,Onalbayev said.
The Iranian Red Crescent Society thanked Kazakhstan for the humanitarian aid, saying the step would help further strengthen cooperation and mutual support between the two countries.
