Kazakhstan and U.S. Sign USD 5.2 Billion Agreements in New York

During Qasym-Jomart Toqayev's working visit to New York, Kazakhstan and the United States signed 11 agreements, Orda.kz reports.
According to presidential press secretary Ruslan Zheldibay, the Kazakh participants included KTZ, Samruk-Kazyna, KazMunayGas, and Kazakhtelecom.
On the U.S. side were the Export-Import Bank of the United States and major companies such as ExxonMobil, Chevron, Wabtec, LanzaJet, Amazon Kuiper, the International Finance Corporation, and Lummus Technology.
The documents provide for investments in our country's economy totaling $5.2 billion and cover such strategically important sectors as transport, logistics, energy, and information technology,Zheldibay said.
One of the main agreements is with Wabtec, worth around $4.2 billion.
It includes the production of 300 modern freight locomotives in Kazakhstan and their subsequent servicing.
